Local development
Writes your draft straight to data.json on disk, so the local homepage shows it
immediately — no GitHub involved. Only works when the site is served by
node tools/dev-server.js (see README).
Publish
Publishing writes your changes straight to the GitHub repo behind this site — GitHub Pages rebuilds automatically, so they're live on houseofprachar.com for everyone within about a minute.
How do I get a token?
- Open github.com/settings/personal-access-tokens/new
- Under "Repository access", choose "Only select repositories" → pick
houseofprachaar - Under "Permissions" → "Repository permissions", set Contents to Read and write
- Generate the token and paste it above — GitHub only shows it once
Data
Your edits above are saved to this browser as a draft until you click Publish. These are backup/advanced tools: sync this draft with what's currently live, or export/import a full backup file.
Change passcode
This is a soft, client-side gate only — the check happens in the browser, so treat it as a deterrent against casual visitors, not real security.
